希少で上質な麻のマント。 麻生地の表面の凹凸をシボと言います。 汗ばむ季節でも肌に張り付かないことから､麻のシボのある風合いが 夏に愛されているのでしょう。
麻のマントを製作するには、かなり広い幅の麻生地が必要となるので、いつも難航します。 このマントに使用している麻はイタリア製で、生地の幅・しなやかさといい、透け感といい、全体を覆うシボといい、文句のつけようがない逸材です。 紺と濃紺の上に細い白線が重なる控えめなボーダー柄で、シャレ具合も紳士的。
麻の質感は、クラシカルなマントのデザインとも相性が良く、存在感のある衿や、手を出すためのホール部分の細工など、律儀さと上品さが滲み出るような仕上がりになりました。 さらりと着こなし、風になびく様は、さぞ美しいことでしょう。
